La Huerta restaurante was so good! Always fresh plenty of delicious food!!! Couldn’t wait every morning to come for breakfast. We had snacks while seating there and service was impeccable! Friendly and very attentive. Both very nice minimalist decor super comfortable beds and linens, bathroom was very large shower was superb!!! The hotel pool was very nice, my daughters and niece truly enjoyed the time in it! We just sat and enjoyed the garden and birds chirping, a very nice relaxing area never been more than us and maybe another family for a while. We had two rooms on the first floor opposite to each other. We stayed at Camino Real for 4 nights while we were in Mexico City form the 15th ti 19 of July. Shop around for a better deal, because they are out there.

I stayed at another hotel in the historic center where the staff smiled and said hello to us each day, the room included endless water each day and we had daily breakfast AND lunch AND free beer for just a few more pesos. When we checked out, the staff member did not smile once, did not ask us how our stay was, she only seemed to want to charge our card. Just outrageous for such a "high class" hotel to not even supply water or even a cup of coffee in the morning. At one point we ran into the cleaning staff who had our bottles, they said they were lost and did not know where our room was, they also said the water was not free and we would be charged, so we told them to keep them at that point. Another person said they were not free, then another said yes they were, but in the end, we went across the street and bought our own liters of water each day. We did ask, but we never received our "free" little bottles. One person said if we needed water, to ask the front desk and we could receive tiny little bottles. Our price for the room included no amenities. They did not make an attempt to make us comfortable and many on the staff seemed confused. The hotel is too large, and the staff are not friendly. The staff seemed most concerned about looking at their computers and charging your credit card. Probably good for business travelers, but not for people on vacation.
